CIAN Travel Grant Application

The Center for Integrated Access Networks (CIAN) awards travel grants for graduate, undergraduate, and postdoctoral researchers who are visiting a CIAN partner school to initiate, develop, or continue work on a collaborative project. Travel Grants may be used for international travel to CIAN international partners. To learn more about opportunities to visit other CIAN laboratories click here.

Submission Deadlines:

Applications are continually being reviewed; submissions are accepted at any time.

Eligibility:

A position (President, Vice President, or Treasurer) in CIAN’s Student Leadership Council (SLC) at your host university.
CIAN students and postdocs are eligible for 1 Travel Grant per year. If it has been 1 year since your last award, please apply again.

Selection Criteria:

Travel Grant reviewers especially appreciate and give due weight to thoughtful, focused student statements. The student statement should be understandable to graduate students from any CIAN Research Thrust.

Range of support:

The committee will award up to $1000.00 per student, even though the travel cost may exceed that amount.

Notification of Awards:

The process of award determination generally takes one month. You are welcome to contact the Education Director with inquiries. Contact, Dr. Allison Huff.

Additional Requirements:

Travel must be completed within 1 year of the date of application.
